Today we got to meet Ollie Allgrove who is an executive producer for Passion Pictures, they make feature films mainly of the documentary genre as well as commercials and music videos. The company have been involved in projects with the Gorrilaz, This is England and the meerkats in SaveTheMeerkat.com and have also won 3 Oscars. They tell stories through live action and design, visual effects animation and documentary. He gave us tips and how music videos are commissioned in the industry, the commissioner makes the call to find group of different film directors to write treatment for the music video. They also work what the bands or artists main aim with the music video is it to gain views, create controversy, create noise or make an impact. Music videos have had less of an impact in recent day and age but are still important to gain popularity and YouTube views. The most important thing to remember before creating a music video is to have everything planned and decided before the shoot day otherwise you will lose time and money, the way to do this is to make sure you have a Treatment, Timeline and Storyboard
