Idea Number 1
The idea of this film is we follows a group of middle aged men who enjoy the lifestyle of being debt collectors but also commit simple crimes such as robberies to earn a bit of money on the side. We follow there lives as troubles come between them and issues rise through the group creating friction and tension between them. We face the problems of trying to commit robberies and other criminal activity when people don’t trust each other.
The opening scene starts with the 4 men walking into a pub and before they enter the guy who looks like a leader says to them the “The usual Lads”. Three of them walk of to the side round the back of the pub and the other one walks into the pub sits down at the bar orders a drink and then takes a glug. Barman asks him hows business and he simple does a head nod over to the back of the pub where we see three figures walk past the back window and then in through the back door, then grabs a man sitting at a table with a few friends and pulls him out the back door. The Barmen then says “going well then”, the Leader then downs his drink leaves a tip on the bar and says his goodbyes, and walks out the back door and joins the three members beating up the man who has now fallen to the floor. He calmly crouches down and says something along the lines of that he is late of paying his debt, the man then begging says that he can get him to him for next week. The Leader stands back up takes in the scenery then boots him in the head. The camera then slowly pans down as they walk away and ends with the mans face bleeding and motionless with the four men walking away to the right of the screen.
Idea Number 2
The main storyline of the film is that we follow the story of young boy who faced a traumatic experience as a kid which was his parents being beaten to death by a man. The film is his life growing up from a young age to early adulthood and slowly he turns darker and depressed by becoming obsessed with the murderer of his parents. as the film progress he slowly turns into the murderer of his parents and wants to get revenge on the man who killed his mother and father. He does this by killing the murderer’s loved ones. The film ends with him killing the murderer but what he hasn't realised is that he has simply become the puppet of the murderer by killing other loved ones.
The openings scene consists of the murder of his parents but then also the final scene of the film of him killing the murderer. I am not entirely sure the best way to set this out, possibly as if he is having a flashback to his parents death while he is murdering this man. The main idea is to get the story of his parents being murdered but then also showing him murdering the murderer.
Idea number 3
The whole idea of the film is following a small illegal organ trading business as well as the police trying to get into the and trying to break down how the whole operation works. throughout the film we follow the detective who finds out more and more about the leader of the organisation and unlocking secrets about him.
The title sequence starts of in a police station with a file being handed over to the main detective which is a police file of a man. As soon as a long enough shot has been given so the audience have an idea of what the man looks like we are taken to the street and we are following the man we saw on the police file as he walks down a darkened ally way. As he walks further down the street and moves further away from the camera we see a mysterious figure enter the frame and starts to follow him. As the man gets closer to the target a white van door opens parked next to him and he is shoved in by the men inside and the man who followed him and is injected to pass him out. As this whole scene we still have the dialogue between the two detectives explaining the crime committed and details about the man, and also so it allows time to pass we cut between shots of the detectives talking when vital information is handed out and then we cut back to them pulling the man out the van and into an apartment. The apartment has a very dark and creepy vibe to it and has surgeon tools we then cut back to the detectives talking about the crime that was committed and as they start talking about what happened to him it goes back to the apartment panning along a bathroom floor then up to the bath where we see the guy lying there with tubes coming out of him and the dialogue tells us that the whole case is about an organ trading. then the camera moves up onto a mirror where in the reflection we see a man in surgeon outfit.
Idea Number 4
A thriller based on the life of a man who is a surgeon enduring a tricky divorce and starts to have a midlife crisis. The film follows a court case where he is suspected of killing a man during surgery. Will he or won’t he be convicted of manslaughter?
The scene will be a flash-forward to the event where he loses a patient. It will be set in an operating theatre and lighting will be specifically used to darken most of the background meaning that minimal medical props are needed. The majority of the shots will be of the man trying to avoid screwing up the surgery. We will see an extreme close up of the man as sweat drips down his brow as he is becoming stressed and starting to shake mid surgery. The beeping of a heart monitor will be a constant throughout the scene. This beeping will follow the movements of the surgeon so if he was to be very close to killing him it would speed up. We will then get reactions shots from other nurses as they tell him to stop operating and let someone take over. He snaps back a refusal as he wasn’t to prove he is ok. The beeping then changes to a long constant to show the patient is dead. We have a close up on the monitor to show this.
