Genre Difference

Films can be part of the same genre but have completely different stories and themes, a genre that shows this very well is thriller. In the film contagion a deadly disease is released into the public and we follow the people trying to contain it and create the cure for the virus and in White House Down a man is hired to to stop the fall of the US government. These films do have things in common though otherwise they wouldn't be part of the same genre for example they both crete suspenseful moments as well as creates a large amount of tension.
