Arctic Monkeys
The key things the Arctic Monkeys are trying to promote to their audience on their frontpage is their album as we can see on the right, they are also highlighting recent news which includes where they have been playing and what they have been up to. When it comes to the design of the website the colour set is very basic, just black and white, no multi coloured backgrounds just two colours.
The Black Keys
We can see that The Black Keys have a very basic layout making it very easy for their target audience to navigate around their website. They to have prioritised news by placing this on the front page allowing their fans to easily see what they have been doing recently and what they might be doing in the future. Their colour scheme is much brighter than the Arctic Monkeys but is still very simple with only two colours used, they also have a player where you can listen to their music which shows that one of their main priorities is to promote their music to their fans.
The Vaccines
From the front page of The Vaccines website what we can gather is that their main priority is to not only promote their new album but just promote the band as themselves. They have down this by removing any distraction of menus and hidden these away. When you open up the menu we can see they carry on promoting the album by placing the names of all the songs above any other menu. Their colour scheme is also very simplistic all they have done is stick with reds and whites which is similar to the the other websites because they all stick with very bold simplistic colours.
Kasabian
Similarly to the other websites Kasabian are showing what they are up to and are doing in the future but have done it in a more modern way. What they have done is rather than using texts is upload pictures of them at gigs and festivals and therefore creating a gallery on their homepage. When it comes to look all though it is very bright with the pink it is still very simplistic like the other website with just one or two block colours. They also have hidden the menu so the viewers focus more on the pictures rather than less important content.
Kaiser Chiefs
The Kaiser Chiefs have also gone down the road to put their news on the homepage, we can see that this is a common trend in the alternative rock genre due to many bands in this genre play at festivals and gigs so it is important to let the fans know when and where they have and will be playing. Their largest thing on their homepage though is the promotion of their new album, this is a common trend through all the websites, some may do it different to others but they are all promoting their latest work some how on their homepage's as the bands need to sell their music to produce more,
