The company I believe would make my thriller is Warner Brothers this is due to many reasons such as the previous films they have made in the past as well the fact that they produce big block buster names but then also experiment with low budget projects as well. I believe Warner Brothers would be interested in making my film because although they produce and distribute a large number of different film genres such as comedy, romance, fantasy, adventure, action and horror in the past they have made some very good quality crime thrillers.
To help with what institution would suit best in creating my thriller i had to research what thrillers they have made in the past and if they were successful or not. Here are some of there most successful crime thrillers that Warner Bros have made.

All these films were similar to the one we are thinking of creating especially The Town and Heat because they both have the heist element that we want to implement into our film. From looking at the films that Warner Bros have produced especially these made me believe that Warner Bros is the correct company that would match the criteria of ours.
The Good thing about Warner Bros which is an advantage to us is that they make huge blockbuster films that are very successful but then they also make smaller budget films and it was announced last year that they have prioritised to make two smaller films a year. So if Warner Bros didn't believe that they would make profit from giving us a big budget they could produce it using a lower budget. I believe our film could be advertised on their front page because it has large amounts of action which pleases and is enjoyed by most crowds.
In my opinion the best way to make money out of this film is going with a cinematic release and a viral ad campaign because it might not be a film that would make a enough money to have television adverts at primetime. Instead because the internet is very popular and things such as YouTube and Instagram are great advertising platforms. A DVD release is also a great way to a higher total gross as well as cross merchandising such as creating a video game, Warner Bros also make video games and advertise them on their front page.
Warner Brothers don't really make one particular genre of film because they are such a big company so they have the resources to create lots of different types of films unlike Vertigo Films who specialise in low budget British films. Although their top 10 films are all action based including The Dark Knight at number 1 and other franchises such as Harry Potter and The Hobbit series. Because Warner Brothers make such big blockbusters they can't really aim for one specific target audience because they a need a big return on there film to make a profit, so instead in their big feature films they use elements of all genres in the film to appeal to a wider range of audience.
